Honor and Celebrate Grandparents

It’s almost time to celebrate Grandparents Day! Observed on the first Sunday after Labor Day in September, it’s a wonderful opportunity for kids and their grandparents to spend time together, get to know each other, and have fun together. Have children choose a beautiful floral bouquet, long-lasting plant design or other special gift that can be delivered on Grandparents Day. Remember that Mancuso’s Florist is happy to extend our professional delivery services anywhere in the St. Clair Shores area, including private residences, assisted-living facilities, nursing homes and senior communities. For quality activities to do with grandparents, take a look at some of our fun ideas.

Send A Special Delivery

Honor and celebrate grandparents by sending them something beautiful they’ll love. Our Blooming Garden Basket is full of colorful garden plants like African violets, miniature roses and azaleas. They arrive nestled with hypoestes and ivy in a wicker basket. What a long-lasting reminder of your thoughtfulness. For a bright design they’ll love, send our gorgeous Gerber Daisy Vase. Colorful, vibrant gerbera daisies with a touch of greenery are sure to delight grandparents to no end. Our Small Dish Garden is full of beautiful plants that make anything but a small impression on grandparents. Planted in natural baskets or ceramic containers, this long-lasting design will be something grandparents can treasure for quite a while.

Perform For Grands

Do children have a special talent they can perform for grandparents? Bring the cousins together for a fun sing-along or let kids re-create their ballet recital piece or violin performance. If grandparents have a special talent, get them involved and let them show off to the grandkids a little bit, too.

Have a Sleepover

Organize a sleepover between grandparents and grandchildren. Bring a special bedtime story or favorite movie and make sure to drop off lots of pizza and ice cream (and don’t forget breakfast goodies for the following morning). Grandparents will love this extra special time with children and the opportunity to bond.

Design a Coupon Book

Have kids create a coupon book for grandma and grandpa, promising to spend more time with them in the future. Coupons can include anything from free hugs to lawn mowing or a fun activity, like baking cookies together during the holidays. Let kids get creative and grandparents will delight at their desire to spend time together.

Honor and celebrate grandparents and remind them how special they are to your family. They’ll know how loved and treasured they are by their grandchildren when you send beautiful floral bouquets, plant designs or other special gifts on Grandparents Day.
